Glaser Salon With Gallery

The Glaser Salon with its gallery and furniture, located in the parish house in Malečnik was opened on June 28th, 2021 and is the first art gallery in town. From an architectural point of view, the gallery is in an exceptional location in a historical building with original exterior and interior furnishings, which, according to the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, together with the entire complex represent an extraordinary example of rich architecture. There was already a salon in the vicarage, serving internal purposes and was redesigned (the inlaid parquet is still preserved) and furnished by Marko Glaser. The salon was also named after him. The Glaser Salon and the two vestibules with staircase were renovated in 2021. The historical elements of the premises have been restored. There is a permanent exhibition in the Glaser Salon, while the gallery section is reserved for occasional exhibitions. You can see over 20 unique paintings from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. The Salon with its gallery is intended for holding concerts by chamber ensembles. To visit the Glaser Salon with its gallery a prior appointment is required.
