Mackmyra – Explorers in whisky. The Swedish original since 1999. We had a dream. To create the first Swedish malt whisky. We chose our own way and developed it from scratch. The road was neither the easiest nor the fastest. But it was the right one, we reached our goal. A Swedish malt whisky with its own identity. In our 35 meter high distillery, we have traceability right down to the individual grain fields, and furthermore space to continue looking beyond the traditional. The storage of the small handmade casks is an example. Another is the Swedish oak who so generously share its character to the whisky. In Mackmyra Whisky Village, just outside Gavle, you will find our distillery, forest warehouse, and visitor center with restaurant.
