MATS is a working printing museum in the center of Sibiu, that share the tools and skills to showcase and teach traditional letterpress printing techniques. MATS offers guided visits, demonstrations and letterpress workshops. The program with the public on Friday and Saturday is between 12:00 and 19:00 and during the week with appointments for groups larger than 10 people. During the guided visit, visitors will learn the story of Johannes Gutenberg and Romanian printers and will be able to print a letterpress card at one of the rarest presses in the world, the Columbian Press cast in London in 1854.
