We are specialized in Conventual Pastry, a Traditional Portuguese Pastry with 500 years old created in the 16th century inside the monasteries by the nuns: the famous ovos moles de aveiro, the pão de ló de ovar, the pastel de nata, the pudim abade de priscos, the pão de rala , the pastel de santa clara, the pastel de tentugal, dozens of divine recipes. From North to South of Portugal each convent created divine specialities that enchanted kings, inspired poets, and conquered fame around the world and it´s place in Portuguese History. Customers who visit Casa dos Ovos Moles em Lisboa can either purchase conventual pastries to take home or enjoy them at the shop with a hot tea, coffee or wine. The pastries are served in Bordallo Pinheiro tableware, a famous Portuguese artist from the XIX century, adding an extra flavour of Portuguese living. And we teach through workshops the art of making this pastry.
