Plaza del Mercado Ponce

The Plaza del Mercado at Ponce, also known as Plaza del Mercado Isabel II, is a huge indoor street market located in the heart of the southern city. Many of its shops and vendors have been in service for decades. People visit to find the freshest vegetables and fruits for a fairly cheap deal. Traditional foods, candy, art and even lottery tickets can be found in more than a dozen stands. Most of the produce comes from local farms, confectioners, and artists.
