The Royal Palace in Oslo is open to the public for approximately two months every summer. Visitors follow a guided tour lasting about one hour, through the most important rooms of the Palace. The hours may vary some - please check royalcourt.no for details before your visit. The 2024 season ended 18 August. Tickets for the 2025 season will be available through Ticketmaster from the first part of March '25. The main changing of the guard takes place every day at 1.30 PM. The Royal Palace is where the daily work of the monarchy is conducted and where the King and Queen live. It is where the King presides over the Council of State, grants audiences and hosts official dinners. Most of the members of the Royal Court have their workplace here.
