Round Trip of Tisleifjorden Golsfjellet

This route starts off at the Oset Hoyfjellshotell. Continue towards the Tislei dam, cross it, and follow the road up to the crossroads at Buastolen. Keep going straight past the different summer farmsuntil you get to Gomobu, which is the first obligatory waffle stop on the route. From Gomobu the road is steep downhill until you get on to the Panoramavegen (Panorama road) between Hemsedal and Valdres. On the Panoramavegen you can choose if you want the shorter route by turning left and going straight to Nosen, where they make great waffles too, or if you want to go right and follow the signs to Trollhovd. From Trollhovd the route is downhill past Gronsennknibben og Svenskefjorden. Go straight ahead (do not cross the bridge on the right!) and follow the road along the lake and back to Panoramavegen. Go right and stay on the main road past the Flyvass dam and further along the Tisleifjorden. Go on past Langestolen (shop) and back to Buasttolen. Go left, ride back to Oset.

Start the bike trip at Gol railroad station and follow the signs towards Nesbyen. The first part of the trip runs along easy gravel roads towards Svenkerud. Follow the bicycle signs over the bridge and on to Gamleveien to Nesbyen. Keep going in this direction for about 3 km. Then follow the signs marked Nesbyen rundt over Tyribakken bridge. From Tyribakken bridge the trip goes up towards Garnos. Half way up the hills you can make a right and visit Garnos meteorite crater. The inclines continue all the way up Garnos and on into Fladalen. From Fladalen the route continues into Ridalen. The scenery in these valleys is almost fairy-tale like, with narrow roads, marshes, small rivers and eventually a fantastic view towards Skarveheimen. From Ridalen you go downhill towards Gol. The last 8 kilometres run along the railway track in relatively flat terrain. The route is long, vith some steep inclines, so it requires some fitness and is not suitable for small children.

A nice family trip on good gravel roads, but some of the road is paths that are easy with the bike. A natural startingpoint for this round trip is Storefjell Resort Hotel. Follow the road past the hotell and up to the lavvu. Here you will find a simple path and road to Kamben Hotel, along the Postvegen (road) to Storefjellvegen and Skutusetkrysset. Follow the road through Skutuset, continue on the path/carriage road to Vermeli and Tunnetjern Stolslag. Then follow the road to Turkoppmyre and continue on the bike road to Einarset.
