Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk

Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk is a family run yarn spinning factory that dates back to 1898. The factory produces yarn and wool for knitting, weaving and felting using wool from Norwegian sheep breeds. In the factory shop you can indulge in the most wonderful assortment of yarn, wool products and carefully picked items. Some of the old machines are visible from the shop, and you get a unique opportunity to view the oldest spinning machine park in Norway at work*. The machines are dated from 1890 to the 1970s, and still make beautiful quality yarn today. We offer tours for groups of 7 people or more. Tours must be booked in advanced by e-mail to post@ull.no. We do not offer tours weekends, evenings or the month of July. (NOK 150,- per person) * During July and holidays the production might not be running due to worker vacations. In these cases, if possible, we let you walk further in to our production area and get a closer look on selected machines.
