Fotogalleriet
34 Moellergata
Oslo 0179
Fotogalleriet was established in 1977 and is the only gallery in Oslo devoted to camera-based art. The gallery exhibits Norwegian and international contemporary art within the field of camera-based art, as well as hosting the annual Varutstillingen (The Spring Exhibition) in cooperation with Forbundet Frie Fotografer. The director is, in collaboration with a selected jury, responsible for the exhibition program. The gallery has a library with literature on photography, video, and theory. Books can unfortunately not be taken outside the gallery, but visitors are welcome to sit down and read, or use our xerox-machine.
