Romsdal Museum
One of the largest and most comprehensive folk museums in Norway is located only a 10 minutes' walk from the town centre of Molde. The new building Krona opened in 2016, and houses historical footage displays, local art, Bunad workshop, café and museum shop. The Romsdal Museum was established in 1912, and portrays buildings and interesting interiors from the whole region. The town street "Bygata" shows typical Molde town houses from the pre-war era. The museum is situated in a nice park area with benches where you can relax, a duck pond and lush flower beds. There are several smaller museums in the region of Romsdal belonging to the Romsdal Museum: Bud coastal museum and fort, The Fisheries museum on Hjertøya, Nesset Prestegard (vicarage and Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson's childhood home) in Eidsvåg, The Clothing Factory museum in Isfjorden, Løvikremma Kystgard (coastal farm) in Aukra, Steffågarden on the island of Ona, Veøya vicarage and maintenance of the medieval church on Veøya.
