Houseboat Southern Comfort

Our splendid houseboat is situated in the center of Amsterdam. Here you can truly experience the four elements: earth, water, air and fire. Your host speaks seven languages and can help you out with any questions you might have. Our Houseboat is situated in a quiet canal near the city centre only a 15-minutes walk from the Central Railway Station. (1 stop by tram) Within walking distance up to 1 km: Music Theatre, Bimhuis, Nemo Museum, Maritime Museum, Conservatory, New Library, the start of several walks and cycle tours with beautiful views of innovative and historical architecture trough the Eastern Docklands: Java, KNSM, Sporenburg and Borneo Islands. The area is safe and quiet because it's a dead-end-street. Houseboat Southern Comfort offers two spacious bright guestrooms with a fantastic view over the water while lying in bed. Both furnished with a comfortable double bed, single loft bed, and desk with two chairs, TV, DVD player, fridge, WIFI, central heating, towels and bed linen. The two rooms share one bathroom with shower and toilet. Guests can use the well-equipped kitchen for self-catering. A magnetron/oven combination, tea, coffee and breakfast for the first morning are available. Enjoy the four elements: make your own campfire, have a rest or BBQ in the garden, enjoy the roof for sunbathing, enjoy the historic city centre views or take a canoe for a ride through the canals (four canoes are available, two for adults, two for children). We provide life jackets for the children.
