Marchesi 1824
Inside an elegant 18th-century building in the heart of Milan, in Via Santa Maria alla Porta 11/a, the Marchesi family opened their first pastry shop in 1824, earning an increasingly widespread reputation for their handmade confections. Since those early days, the first Pasticceria Marchesi has maintained an authentic Belle Époque atmosphere, preserving its original early-20th-century furnishings, coffered ceilings, ancient mirrors and art deco lighting.
