Borgo Ronchetto
Borgo Ronchetto, a countryside house, built at the end of 19th century, is situated between the vineyards, close to the holm of the Piave river in Salgareda, in province of Treviso. The term “Ronchetto”, that derives from the ancient language of the Longobards, was used to indicate a forest area, whose soil was tilled. This term refers to the thick and big forests that used to cover this whole area, before it was cleared for agricolture. In 1916, this farmhouse was bombed by the Austrians and later, because of its strategic position near the combat lines, was used by them as a place for their logistics support of weapons. Thanks to an accurate and eco-friendly renovation, that was finished in 2007, this farmhouse was restored to its original beauty. We love terracotta, stone, iron and wood. ENJOY YOUR STAY!
