It was in 2003 that the Chef met the Ceretto family and together they decided to open a restaurant in Alba called Piazza Duomo. It is the fusion of Enrico's experiences. Crippa's talent was quickly rewarded with his first Michelin star in 2006, followed by his second in 2009 and his third in 2012. Enrico's cuisine follows a personal idea of the chef that aims to exploit the availability of raw materials while respecting seasonality; indeed, the menu changes constantly and uses raw materials from a vegetable garden located a few kilometres from Alba. Finally, underlining the Ceretto family's passion for art, the interiors were entrusted to New York curator Bill Katz, who arranged two art rooms: the main one, designed by Francesco Clemente, is pink and decorated with a large vine leaf wrapped around a globe and the continents. The other is enhanced by two curtains by set designer Louise Nevelson.
