A real Roman treat of a place - step straight out into a colourful thrub of twisting streets, trattorias, boutiques, fountains, monuments Beware the urge to stay for weeks! Visit Rome's other highlights then return to lose yourself in the thrub of fascinating, twisting streets of this colourful, characterful neighbourhood: Via dei Coronari, Piazza Navona, Via del Governo Vecchio. The best view from this peachy, classic 18th-century palazzo is from the smallest room facing the beautiful Bramante church. Your gracious, knowledgeable hosts (interior designer and architect - obviously!) couldn't be more helpful. Their third-floor guest rooms are in two adjacent apartments, each with a foyer sitting area. One is more contemporary with stripped doors, framed black and white photographs and architectural drawings, brown suede and grey flannel headboards, modern lighting, light grey walls. The other has teal blue walls, period paintings, antiques on parquet floors, gorgeous fabrics for curtains, bedspreads and cushions. Bathrooms are designer modern with grey glass mosaics and locally made soaps. You breakfast royally in your room, on a large trolley with porcelain cups, cake, toast, homemade jams, yogurt and cereal. A real Roman treat of a place.
