In 1961, Mrs Ofelia inaugurated the first big restaurant in Prato, ‘Il Capriolo’: Tuscan specialities. Exactly 50 years later, and after a short period closed, the restaurant has been reopened and it’s now cared by the great-grandchildren of the ancient founder. Our intent is to maintain the tradition characterizing the Tuscan food, thanks to the big charcoal-burning grill, the wood-burning oven for the pizza, and the research of local supplier for meat and vegetables. In our opinion the past shall be respected but continuously renewed, as well; for this reason in the menu you will also find dishes with modern flavours and a slightly cosmopolitan touch.
