Placed in the heart of the historic city center of Siena, Antica Dimora del Buongoverno Residence is an elegant apartment with very antique walls and floors in a prestigious 13th century building (with the entrance of the 8th century). The name of the apartment comes from Ambrogio Lorenzetti’s frescoes cycle “Allegory of the Good and the Bad Government” which the artist accomplished between 1337 and 1339 in the Sala dei Nove of the Palazzo Pubblico of Siena. In the paints of Lorenzetti you can see some workers building exactly the roof of our edifice. Antica Dimora del Buongoverno Residence is a few steps faraway from Piazza del Campo, the Duomo and the Sanctuary of St. Catherine, in the historic Via dei Termini. Silence, quiet and peace permeate all the rooms.
