Sitting at the heart of The Clarence, The Octagon Bar is a beautiful room situated in the exact same space as the original hotel bar. With an octagon shaped dome rising high above the central bar. The Octagon Bar is the perfect setting for a glamorous gathering of friends over cocktails or pre-match pints with mates. The Back Bar boasts many original features including the stunning Art Deco door and windows, and the original hotel clock that sits proudly over the open fireplace. The Octagon Bar is a wonderful retreat on a cold day as the fireside seats are the most coveted part of the Back Bar in Autumn and Winter. Relax with a whiskey and a classic book and while the day away in comfort and peace. The original snug is also intact, an intimate and cosy space for a tete-a-tete over champagne or a good old-fashioned argument over brandies! A delicious bar food menu designed by the chefs at Cleaver East is available in The Octagon Bar daily from 12pm to 8pm.
