Főőrség Étterem és Kávéház (Royal Guard Restaurant & Café)

The Royal Guard, authentically restored in the National Hauszmann Program, has opened its gates for visitors on 14th May 2021 in the heart of the Castle district. On the first floor of the reborn Royal Guard building a long needed exhibiton is displayed. Over five hundred paintings, lithographs and archive photographs, mostly displayed for the first time, showcase the 260 year history of the Hungarian guards with several interesting objects. We can sample the tastes of the Hungarian history, with coffee or some refreshments, in the atmospheric halls of the Royal Guard Café. Stroll in the castle and rest for a while on the Royal Guard's stately balcony, with some sparkling wine and dessert.
