The Clock Tower suite The breathtaking suite is located at a height of 30 meters in the former bell tower of the Laurentius Church. The suite is 35 square meters and has a 'COCO mat' king size double bed. From the lounge sofa you have a fantastic view of the surroundings. There is a Nespresso machine and a personalized minibar is ready for you on arrival. The bathroom has a special bath and a double shower. Sleeping in The Clock Tower is an EXPERIENCE! The Church You sleep in the Sint-Laurentiuskerk. This church was built in 1876 and last renovated in 1951. The last church service took place at the end of April 2014. In November 2016, part of the church spire collapsed during a heavy fire and exactly 2 years later in November 2018, this rebuilt tower was replaced. Earlier that year, the 3 bronze, 800 kilo bells were lifted from the reverberation holes to make room for this special 'clock room' hotel suite. Everything here shows that you are staying in a building with history. The steps of the stairs to the suite have been worn down over the years, the banisters have been polished to a silky smooth finish due to frequent use and the stones and pipes are still exactly as they were in the original bell tower. Surroundings Weesp is a cozy place. There is plenty to do here and in the area. Beautiful cycling and walking routes along the Vecht lead you to, for example, Muiden (with the famous Muiderslot). Or sail over to the Pampus fortress island. A day of shopping in Amsterdam is also possible. Weesp is close to the capital.
