Portello Lounge

Named after formidable Victorian bare-knuckle boxer and local hero William “Bendigo” Thompson, Bendigo Lounge sure packs a punch (groan). We’re on High Road, right in the heart of Beeston, with a sprinkling of outdoor seating and lovely full width windows across the front that open right up. Behind our handsome bottle green and orange exterior is a warm, welcoming space where we serve a fantastic range of food and drinks (including full kids, gluten free and vegan menus), overlooked by some suitably dotty decor, including an impressive mural of our pugilistic friend. Knockout! Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Centro Lounge is in a great spot tucked away in the heart of Loughborough right next to the cinema in Baxter Gate. Everyone is welcome anytime, but of course we’re pretty handy for a pre film refuel or post film wind down. We serve a fantastic range of food and drinks (including full kids, gluten free and vegan menus) in a really warm, relaxed space. People do tell us how much they love our bright and somewhat over the top interiors, so much so that our industrial ceiling has blushed a handsome rust red with embarrassment. Yes, really.

What do Derby folk say about Carnero Lounge? Some say our coffee is the best in Derby. Some say we have the best hospitality, including a great kids corner. Some say we’re the perfect spot for people watching from our huge windows (that open right out) and outside seating, as we’re on a great spot on St. Peter Street pretty much in the city centre. Some say we serve a delicious vegetarian breakfast (from our fantastic range of food and drinks that includes full kids, gluten free and vegan menus). And some ask why we have a photo of a smiling man being rubbed with lard on the wall. We say no more.
