Harry Avery's Castle, located in a field southwest of Newtownstewart in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, is a historic site built around 1320 by the O Neill clan. Named after local chief Harry Avery, who died in 1392, this two-storey structure features remnants of massive D-shaped twin towers and offers picturesque views of the surrounding countryside and the River Derg valley.
Though much of the castle has been lost over time, it remains freely accessible to visitors, encouraging them to respect the grazing livestock in the area. Nearby, Newtownstewart Castle adds to the rich historical tapestry of the region.
