York Art Gallery

York Art Gallery has a beautifully renovated exhibition space in which to showcase the gallery's most famous Victorian, Modern and Contemporary works including pieces by Walter Sickert, Sir Stanley Spencer, David Bomberg, Paul Nash, David Hockney, Sarah Lucas and Henri Fantin-Latour. The gallery's collection of Italian Old Masters is displayed alongside substantial new research which is complemented by loans from major public collections. York Art Gallery is also home to the Centre of Ceramic Art (CoCA) which is housed in the mezzanine level in the original Victorian Roof Void. Our ground-floor exhibition space hosts regularly changing special exhibitions. Tickets for the gallery can be booked online or in person.
