Bletchingley, England RH1 4PB
Refurbished in September 2009, this stylish gastropub in Bletchingley is straight out of the pages of a glossy Sunday supplement. With its original beams, huge fireplaces, slate-grey walls and artfully framed pictures the Whyte Harte Hotel is seriously chic mix of old and new. Steeped in a history that dates back to the reign of Richard II, this cosy restaurant has a half country club, half home-away-from-home vibe and we love the classic Brit menu which is complimented by a range of real ales, rustic sharing platters and small tasting plates. Dont miss the rump steak burger with mozzarella, smoked bacon and chunky chips; and the oat and ginger fruit crumble with custard.
