The Inn was built around 1776 and remained as a private house until early in the 19th century. For much of it’s early years the pub used to be more or less a farm with a sack over the door where locals came in for a drink. You'll now find us traditional in style with open fires; flagged stone floors; good old furniture and lots of rugs and plants. Internally, the bar sits at the heart of things with an array of cask ales, shelves full of gins, whiskies and rum to welcome you as you walk through the doors and a wine list of around 50 or so wines. We have a private dining room downstairs which lends itself beautifully to a private family meal or business lunch for up to 12 people.
