Traditional, early Victorian corner pub in conservation area beside recently restored park. Well used and respected wood labelled with traditional ales wines and well constructed menu. Busier at lunchtime. Appears in main good pub guides and has retained it's reputation for value and hearty meals over many decades. Worthy of a Tripadvisor listing as a comfortable venue for a relaxing lunch or early evening meal.
