The George Inn

The George is an historic 14th-century Grade I listed Tudor inn, located in the heart of Norton St. Philip, near Bath. With a history dating back to 1397, The George is one of Britain’s oldest taverns, offering 14 charming ensuite bedrooms full of original features and the perfect base to explore Bath and the Somerset surroundings. On the menu our focus is seasonal, locally sourced produce and exciting takes on pub classics prepared by one of chefs, Aimie Harley who won Salon Culinaire’s Pub Chef of the Year 2024. Enjoy your food with a cracking selection of award-winning Butcombe beer in our beautiful beer garden, with spectacular views across the surrounding countryside.
