The Garden Suite at The Granary, Craggs Lane offers exclusive bed and breakfast in part of a beautifully converted old grainstore dating back to C1900. It consists of a large bedroom, a sitting/dining room with full size sofa bed, and a luxury bathroom. Mature terraced gardens lead down to The Bothy where guests are invited to take afternoon tea, enjoy a candlelit dinner or simply relax and enjoy the serenity. Set in 5acres it is paradise on earth. The Granary is situated on the crest of a hill at around 200metres. From the orchard viewing seat you can see the Cleveland Hills to the East,The Vale of York to the South and Penn Hill of Wensleydale to the West. A fantastic panoramic of the surrounding countryside. The Garden Suite at The Granary lies equidistant between the market towns of Richmond,Bedale and Leyburn and is the gateway to Wensleydale,Swaledale,Coverdale and Arkengarthdale. The Coast to Coast is 5mins away as is a section of the Tour de France. The Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond,built in 1788 and restored in 1963 together with The Green Howards Museum are full of history and interest.The converted Old Station and Easby Abbey,a 10min walk along the old railway line,will enthral you. We are only 10mims from the A1 and less than an hour from Harrogate,York,Ripon,Barnard Castle and Durham.Cathedrals and Castles are plentiful. The Yorvik Centre and Railway Museum at York are a must see. Retail therapy can be found in York and Harrogate. For garden lovers our own garden holds much interest. RHS Harlow Carr this side of Harrogate is not far from Studley Royal and Fountains Abbey. Thorpe Perrow Arboretum and bird of prey centre is 20mins away. For the history buffs Jervaulx Abbey(1156)Castle Bolton(1399) and Middleham Castle(1170}home to Richard The Third are all under 15mins away.Aysgarth Falls(Robin Hood Movie)Hardraw Falls (Englands largest single drop fall) and Hawes are a great day out.
