The Fishermen's Hospital, established in 1702 by The Corporation of Great Yarmouth, originally served as an almshouse for 20 impoverished fishermen and their wives. Today, it continues its legacy by providing low-cost housing to eligible local residents.
This Grade I listed building is an important historical site, with public open days held each September as part of the national Heritage Open Days initiative. The organization is dedicated to preserving its heritage while supporting the community it has served for over three centuries.
