Brightside is bringing proper hospitality back to roadside dining. Inspired by childhood road trips of days gone by, where the highlight of the journey was a stop at a roadside restaurant, Brightside offers a freshly cooked menu full of classic, comforting dishes, including all-day breakfasts, brilliant burgers and proper pizzas, with lots for little ones, and plenty of vegan and gluten-free options.

Puerto Lounge is in a great spot on the River Exe by the footbridge in the historic Quayside area, 10 minute walk from the city centre. We’ve a fantastic big terrace overlooking the River, just perfect for watching the world – and its kayaks, pedalos and swans – go by. Our inside isn’t too shabby either; a big, funky open plan light and airy industrial space stretching right across our handsome historic building, with a surprising amount of nooks and crannies to call your own. We serve a great range of food and drinks (including full kids, gluten free and vegan menus) in this really relaxed, welcoming atmosphere with that cosy café essential - a big cloud of dangly tassel-y lightshades by the door. Lovely.
