The Anchor Inn

The Anchor Inn is a cosy old style pub, situated within the historic village of Canewdon, offering a homecooked A la carte menu, with an extensive specials board, offering fresh fish and locally produced meats. The Anchor also offers a variety of real Ales, some from local breweries. It is approximately 4 miles north east of the town of Rochford, Essex. Canewdon is situated on one of the highest hills of the Essex coastline from which St. Nicholas church affords wide views of the Crouch Estuary. East of the village lies the island of Wallasea, popular for sailing, and a wetland sanctuary for wildlife.
