Simpsons Tavern is Londons oldest Chophouse, still serving in its original Georgain Dining rooms. It is one of three historic inns located amongst the charming alleyways at the centre of the City financial district, near the Bank of England. Built in 1757, the tavern retains much of its old world charm, especially in its thoroughly British menu featuring the likes of Smoked Salmon or Devilled Kidneys to start, followed by their famous Char grilled Chops, Roast Dinners or Steak and kidney pie and other British classics. Then, most Vital of all, a classic pudding and custard or the infamous Cheese. The atmosphere is a convivial mix of City professionals and "out of towners" sharing booths and fuelling their stomachs and minds for the day to come. Open Monday to Friday for Lunch 11.30 to 15.30 and for Breakfast Tuesday to Friday 8 am till 10.30 its a slice of dining history not to be missed
