Welcome! We're glad to have you with us. Since the early 17th century we’ve been welcoming weary travellers and visitors to the village of Hawkshead. Whether you want to drink, dine or unwind, you will find The Queen’s Head the perfect base to explore the beautiful South Lakes of Cumbria and beyond. Our restaurant, awarded an AA rosette, has a menu to suit all tastes but, at its core, still serves humble pub food served with flair and only created using the freshest seasonal produce with help from local suppliers. We love the patter of paws and so we’re an extremely dog friendly pub. Our bar area and snug offer roaring fires that will lull even the most excited four-legged pal to a quick slumber so you can enjoy a relaxing pint at the end of a busy day.
