Prince Hill House is a house with historical significance and connections. Prince Hill House is believed to have played host to Prince Rupert, when he fought on the side of the Royalists during the Battle of Bristol. It dates, in parts, from the 1640's. It was considerable enlarged and remodelled in 1913 by Major General Carrington, after when ownership passed at one point to a descendent of Queen Victoria, Lady Brassey, who was also a Godchild to Winston Churchill. David & Lucy Edsell's retirement plans started with the purchase and renovation of Prince Hill House & Cottages. It has been an intensive process due to the nature of this magnificent Grade II listed mansion and all it's amazing features. They have literally gutted, renovated and decorated the whole house and cottages, as well as tended the garden with a lot of TLC. Prince Hill House is now a family home, restored to its former glory within a beautiful countryside setting which makes for a perfect place to come and stay. You will even be served Prince Hill House Honey made by the Bees on the estate. Prince Hill House accommodation provides 2 generous sized suites, 1 penthouse which can accommodate 2, 3 or 5 people and a separate Carriage House which sleeps 7 or 8 people. The rooms are available to book separately, and single occupancy is available in the Sikorski Suite. The total number of people we can accommodate is 18. A Ball Room provides ample space for more formal entertainment or parties, with the 3 acre gardens providing space for a marquee and al fresco entertainment. David & Lucy are discreet hosts always on tap to help make your stay at Prince Hill House & Cottages as memorable as possible.
