Marc Bolan's Rock Shrine is Marc Bolan tragically died aged 29, just 0.9 miles from home on 16 September, 1977. The PRS erected a Memorial Stone in 1997. Two years later The Daily Mail reported the Bolan Tree would be felled by 2002. TAG formed & was given a lease & legal responsibility for the site. In 2000 built steps, fitted a Memorial Board for Tributes & saved the Bolan Tree which survived until 2015. In 2002 Rolan Bolan unveiled a Bronze Bust of his father. Three years later Memorial Plaques were fitted for Steve Peregrin Took; Steve Currie, June Bolan, Mickey Finn & Dino Dines. In 2007 the site was Officially recognised by The English Tourist Board as Marc Bolan's Rock Shrine. It has featured in many TV Programmes including BBC's 'Pagan's & Pilgrims' Episode Four: Shrines. Fans travel from around the world to visit. TAG receives no funding from those making money from Marc Bolan. TAG relies on donations & profit from fund-raisers to maintain the site & our free-to-all website.
