60 St. Peters Street
Canterbury, England CT1 2BE
The Franciscans Gardens is a heritage site, being home to the first Franciscan settlement in England since 1224. A 1 .5 acre garden, with a picturesque 13th century chapel (opened to the public), that sits over the river Stour. If you need to escape the busy high street of Canterbury, we offer a haven of peace, where you can explore the monastic lands, with the nature and wildlife, whilst taking in the 800 years of history.
