Colchester Zoo

Colchester Zoo is constantly developing and has won many awards for its work. With over 155 species to see, set in 60 acres of beautiful parkland and lakes, Colchester Zoo is well worth a visit. As you walk around the zoo, there's plenty to see and do, from exploring the African plains at Kingdom of the Wild and the humid habitat of the Komodo dragons to play areas where the children can release their wild side, including soft play area Jungle Tumble. New for 2024, a brand-new immersive walkthrough, Dinosaur realm sits at the heart of the Zoo filled with prehistoric creatures from the past. As you journey through, you will come face to face with some of the most ferocious species that once lived – all included in your standard admission ticket. Don’t forget to take a ride on the 'Lost Madagascar Express' road train where you will venture to the home of our ring-tailed lemurs.
