Carbonara

Traditional and family run Italian restaurant and Bar, specialising in Roman recipes and fine wines. Situated on Bridge Street row east, Carbonara occupies the 350 year old st. Michaels parish, a historic building that has been beautifully preserved and transformed into our upstairs private dining area. The name Carbonara symbolises our dedication to authenticity, it being one of the most famous roman recipes, it is often mistakenly replicated with cream, onions, garlic etc. whereas we use the proper ingredients such guanciale, pecorino romano, egg yolks and black pepper. The Roman kitchen is very extensive, so we have a huge variety of dishes including many meats, fish, veg and pasta, with weekly specialties introduced. We can accommodate anyone’s needs or preferences (including fussy eaters) as we have a vast selection of ingredients, so something off-menu can always be made expressly.
