By The Park Cafe & Deli

Opened just before the August Bank Holiday in the large ground floor of a big old Victorian terraced house beside West Hoe Park and about two hundred metres from the sea. This is a clean simple modern family cafe with a couple of tables out front near the childrens play area and the servery and several wooden tables inside. There is already a Facebook support page and during the opening week it has been busy on wet and dry days. Easily justifies an entry. There has been a recent small surge in the large waterfront area involving independent small tea and home made fresh cake and snack businesses. Things are looking up.
