Ullswater Steamers is a lake cruise attraction sailing on England's most beautiful lake, Ullswater, in UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Lake District National Park. The fleet of heritage vessels operate on the lake all year round, providing a memorable day out for families and friends. Cruises connect to some of the most famous walking routes around the lake, as well as the iconic Aira Force waterfall and villages of Glenridding and Pooley Bridge. It's the perfect way to experience some of the Lake District's most spectacular scenery from the water.
Boat trips in the Lake District Taking a Lake District boat trip is our number one recommendation! There is nothing quite like hopping aboard a heritage vessel and viewing the stunning Lakeland scenery from a unique perspective. Ullswater 'Steamers' heritage fleet includes M.Y. Lady of the Lake which dates back to 1877 and is believed to be one of the oldest working passenger boats in the world. Our cruises offer spectacular views of Lakeland's highest mountains and vary in length. Boats sail between Glenridding and Pooley Bridge, stopping at Howtown. A shuttle also runs between Glenridding and National Trust Aira Force pier. There are onboard facilities including licensed bars, and pier houses provide light refreshments, gift shops, and free Wi-Fi.
