Tour de Termes d'Armagnac

Located in a small Gers village, the tower of Termes d'Armagnac is the last built vestige of the vast Gascon medieval palace from the second half of the 13th century. The castle was built at the "Terms", that is to say at the limits, of the county of Armagnac in order to assert its power and to protect its borders facing the county of Bigorre. This exceptional medieval palace remains one of the finest examples of Gascon military architecture from the 13th century. The tower has been listed as an MH since 1962 and overlooks the rich valley of the Adour and its tributary the Arros , while facing the Pyrenees. The museum, completely redesigned in 2020, now offers you a more immersive and fun adventure, to experience alone, with family or friends ! Let yourself be transported 700 years in the past and take part in the stately life of the palace by exporting the kitchen, the armory, the stately bedroom... Each summer is punctuated by a medieval festival and numerous events.
