Musée Archéologique Saint-Laurent
Major archaeological site (excavated from 1978 to 1995) located in one of the oldest districts of Grenoble, the Saint-Laurent archaeological museum offers you a journey through nearly two thousand years of history. From the 4th century necropolis to the 19th century church, Saint-Laurent has crossed time, preserving as in a large open book, the added traces of history since the origins of Christianity. The visitor plunges into the heart of a funerary and religious site famous for its 6th-7th century monument: the Saint-Oyand crypt. The memory of this place and those who inhabited it is brought to life using digital means which reinforce the evocative power of the remains, witnesses to the evolution of funerary practices, beliefs and mentalities. Cross Isère, almost twenty centuries of Grenoble's history are available to you!
