Located on the fringe of the forest of Rambouillet , 45 minutes to Paris, the water-mill of Villeneuve was the residence of Elsa Triolet and Louis Aragon, famous writers of the 20th century. Built many centuries ago, the old water-mill has often been a source of inspiration for these artists. Here they wrote some of the most beautiful pages of French literature. Today, the estate has the ambition to offer : A place of memory, with the appartments and the grave of the two writers. a place of research, with a library of more than 30 000 books. a place a support for contempory arts and creation. Exhibitions (painting, sculpture, photography) as well as meetings and entertaining events are held all along the year.
