Welcome to Garden Hotel, your Rennes “home away from home.” Garden Hotel aims to make your visit as relaxing and enjoyable as possible, which is why so many guests continue to come back year after year. The establishment was certified EUROPEAN ECOLABEL by AFNOR CERTIFICATION in 2016 for its commitment to the protection of the environment. The Garden Hotel is a small, independent 2-star establishment, which has existed in Rennes for more than 35 years, it is ideally located between the SNCF train station and the historic center, in a quiet street, close to public transport. The St Hélier district is one of the most popular in Rennes: the rue St Hélier offers many small quality shops (food in particular): a mini-market (50 m from the apartments), organic stores, bakers, caterers, cheese makers , butchers ... TNB, cinemas, museums of Fine Arts and Brittany are located within a radius of 200m. The edges of Vilaine are arranged in this district for ballads or jogging for circuits up to 10 km. This district is also richly provided with numerous restaurants and bars for which we can advise you according to your aspirations. Note that we also offer meal trays. The opera house, the town hall square and the Thabor garden are around 500 m away. The Jacobins Convent (convention center), Place des Lices (Saturday morning market) and the cathedral are 15 minutes' walk away. The secure private parking on reservation (12 € / 24H) will allow you to do everything quietly on foot or with 2 bikes that we provide! If you prefer public transport, the central station "République" is 5 minutes on foot (metro and bus). Each room has a flower name which inspired its decoration: daffodil, hydrangea, heather, camellia ... Three categories of rooms are available: classic (the most economical, around 11m2), comfort (12m2 overlooking rue Duhamel) and patio side (approximately 14m2, overlooking the back of the hotel on the patio-queen size bed). We have family rooms and also studios (the Garden Apparts). The hotel has 3 floors accessible by lift. An equipped meeting room (8 people max) is available. A few words about us: After having managed a pancake and Breton specialty manufacturing company in the Rennes region, we changed our job 6 years ago to become independent hoteliers: we first took over the Hotel Garden, located rue JM Duhamel, then created in 2016 the Garden Apparts, rue Joseph Sauveur. We like to welcome our guests so that they feel at home in our only establishment of a human scale (25 rooms at the Garden hotel and 9 studios, the Garden Apparts). My husband is a sports fan (cycling and rugby), I love to cook (which allows us to offer homemade meal trays to our guests). We live in the countryside, have a large orchard, from which I make jams for breakfast, which is made almost entirely of local products. We work with 8 permanent employees to provide all of the hotel services: cleaning and maintenance of the rooms, receptionists, night watchmen.
