I welcome you to Manoir La Borie Neuve, located in the heart of the Pays des Bastides in the Périgord Pourpre, near the Abbey of Saint-Avit-Sénieur, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, not far from Beaumont-du-Périgord . This former Périgord dairy farm, a building of character from 1845, offers you in addition to the charm of its old stones, its 2 neat guest rooms - the blue room and the green room - each with its private bathrooms and toilets as well as bedding. of great comfort of 160x200. A hearty breakfast, included in the price, complemented among other things with homemade jams, will be served either on the terrace or in the dining room, between 8:30 am and 10 am, after a peaceful night. A large number of excellent small restaurants are a stone's throw from the house, including a "Bip Gourmand" in the center of the village. I therefore do not do "table d'hôtes". The property and the residence are a non-smoking place and pets are not allowed. For your stay, you are provided free of charge: tourist brochures, guides, maps, board games, set of garden chairs, parasol and sun loungers. For the 2021 season, you will be offered 2 electric bicycles (man / woman), against a small fee, for half or day, in order to discover the region in a more fun way. Payment is made either in cash on site, or in advance by free European transfer (RIB-IBAN-BIC codes). What is there to visit in the surroundings? In a nutshell: a lot !! (See the few photos in the photo album on this subject) Very close, the village and the abbey of Saint-Avit-Sénieur, classified as World Heritage by Unesco and located on one of the roads of St-Jacques de Compostelle ; A cable away, the village of Montferrand-du-Périgord and especially the St-Christophe chapel with its preserved wall paintings; Molières, its small city and its Bastide; Beaumont-du-Périgord, its Bastide, its fortified gates, its fortified medieval church, its central square and its magnificent market hall restored in 2014; La Bastide de Monpazier, a magnificent example of "square" architecture, superbly preserved and very lively on market Thursdays; Not far from Monpazier, the Château de Biron, which offers several centuries of development, as well as a breathtaking 360 ° panorama; Cadouin, its Sistercian abbey, its splendid listed cloister, its place in the market hall, its panoramic route; Belvès and its Bastide on a rocky peak, its walk around the city but also its catacombs or troglodyte dwellings; Further on, you can venture towards the Dordogne valley, discover the town of Bergerac, the Renaissance Chateau of Monbazillac, particularly well maintained and dressed in period furniture; then the Valley of the Castles: Beynac, Castelnaud, Roque-Gageac, the site of Domme offering a magnificent panorama on the Dordogne, visit the gardens of Marqueysac or those of Limeuil; ... And further still, the town of Sarlat, Souillac and the Lot Dordogne; going further north, browse the sites of the Land of Man, along the Vézère, ... A short stay would not be enough, you have to take the time to discover and understand the Land of Man, the Country of the Bastides, the beauty of the landscapes, the Périgord gastronomy and the wines of Périgord Pourpre. A whole initiation that leaves no wood! Have a good stay.
