In the Old Town of Porvoo there is a red brick storehouse, built in 1902 by Oskar Simolin. The storehouse was a warehouse for Simolin’s department store. Throughout the decades different items have been stored in the building, for example coffee. This might be one of the reasons why Bar & Café Porvoon Paahtimo is located in the very same building. The building is situated on the riverbank, and you can reach it by boat during the summer. In the summer there is also a barge moored next to the terrace. The deck is the perfect place to be if you want to enjoy the fabulous view of the famous riverside of Porvoo. Inside the storehouse there are old beams in the ceiling and thick red brick walls, which contribute to a peaceful and historical atmosphere. You can smell the scent of freshly roasted coffee and listen to the cheerful hum of conversation – welcome to Porvoon Paahtimo! Porvoon Paahtimo has an alcohol license and there are plenty of drinks to choose from. Our assortment includes beer, wine, cider, cognac, whisky, sparkling wine, different mixed drinks and coffee drinks. Our most popular coffee drink is Irish coffee. We are particularly proud of our beer assortment, and there are different seasonal draught beers. Why not try one of our tasty beers? Porvoon Paahtimo has a wide variety of coffee and coffee drinks, and the coffee comes from our very own roastery. We also have one of the world’s finest coffees, Jamaica Blue Mountain, in our assortment. You can also find tea and hot chocolate in our bar and there are salty and sweet pastry for sale.
