You can visit old wooden houses and find a nice cafe with art exhibitions, small workshops and shops with handmade local handcraft. At Kouvola Museum Quarter there is arranged many happenings like The Night of The Arts, An Old Time Market Place in september, Christmas happening, and The Arts & Skills -day.
