Keila Church is the biggest mediaeval country church in Harju County the construction of which was probably started immediately after the Northern Estonia had been subjected to the king of Denmark. There is a lack of data about the starting times of the church, but in about 1280 a spacious quadrangular chapel that forms the choir in the present-day church was completed in Keila Hill. A pseudo-Gothic tower from 1851 (stonemason Johann Gottfried Exner). Renaissance and Baroque art, including the reredos and the pulpit (Tobias Heintze, 1632). Wheel crosses and funeral chapels of local landlords in the churchyard.Take a look at the aerial panorama (picture by Joel Tammet).
