Georgi Dining Room

The name Georg Lurich is interwoven into the history of the village of Vaike-Maarja. It was here that Lurich was born and began his long and arduous path to wrestling glory. At the end of the 19th and in the early 20th centuries the land on which “Georg’s house” currently stands was home to Kaarma tavern, which was run by Lurich’s parents. A tavern and store bearing the name ‘Georg’ now operate in the building.
