Welcome On a shelf in the cellars we found a book of menus dating from 1932. Today this book is the foundation for Restaurant Grand at the First Hotel Grand anno 2019. Now more than ever, we gaze into more than 120 years of history, evoking the past to move forward. The carefully bound and handwritten book of menus have required a great deal of detective work in order for us to transform the menus of yesteryear into the menu we with pleasure will be serving you. The menu has been created as an homage the collection and appropriately includes original recipes and house traditions. The francophilia is clear throughout the menus. Thusly traditional dishes were renamed with the suffix a la grand or a la maison. To impress the bourgeoisie, the menu should at least sound French. From the stores in the cellars beneath the hotel, the waiters have reclaimed the hotels period hand painted monogram flatware all in an effort to curate a rare and yet appropriate dining experience.
